The ‘Competency Understanding – Part CAMO (CAMO.A.305(g))’ training course is designed to support personnel involved in continuing airworthiness management activities and assist the organisation being effective in the application of safety risk management system see Reference: CAMO.A.305(g) below.
Where applicable, the course content for competency will be linked to the regulation – ANNEX Vc (Part CAMO) to reinforce the requirements.
- The course will link competency and the requirements of the regulation which will help support the delegates understanding and relevance of competency within their organisation.
- Encourage the organisation personnel to be effective in supporting the safety risk management system required to meet compliance.
(Reference: CAMO.A.305(g) – The organisation shall establish and control the competency of personnel involved in compliance monitoring, safety management, continuing airworthiness management, airworthiness reviews or recommendations, and, if applicable, issuing permits to fly, in accordance with a procedure and to a standard agreed by the competent authority. In addition to the necessary expertise related to the job function, competency must include an understanding of safety management and human factors principles appropriate to the person’s function and responsibilities in the organisation)
